The Walleye and Pike Have Been Putting on Quite a Show!

Oh what a week we have had! The walleyes and pike have been putting on quite a show the past 10 days with limits of both being brought in. The most popular method is still the old bottom bouncer and spinner tipped with a crawler or gulp. Try to target the wind blown weed edges and off shore structure in the 8 to 15 feet of water. 1.3 to 1.6 mph has been the speed to be at. Trolling #5 raps or #9 flicker shads has been a good alternate method. 2.5 to 3 mph has been the trolling speed to target. A few fish have been caught at the many bridges with a jig and a minnow or crawler combination. The temps are supposed to be heating up in the next 7 days and the fishing should just get better.
