The key is to find weed beds that are growing

Walleye fishing remains good on Devils Lake. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, however, many of the same presentations and depths that we’ve been using over the last two weeks are still working (slip-bobbering and pitching cranks or jigs along the shorelines). The best depths have been anywhere from 2 – 12 feet of water, with some fish being caught in up to 18 feet of water. The key is to find weed beds that are growing and fish along the edge of them. Bass fishing is unbelievable and there are many areas to find them, and you catch them every single cast. It doesn’t matter what presentation you use – they’ll hit anything. Northern fishing has been a bit more hit and miss with the warmer weather. It seems like they are sliding into deeper water. Good luck fishing!
