Ice conditions are starting to improve

Ice conditions are starting to improve with most anglers reporting 10-14″ of ice. While some are starting to drive on the ice, we still recommend foot, atv, or snowmobiles. Recents snows have put some snow on the ice, so four wheel drive will more than likely be necessary.

Walleye anglers have been reporting some decent fishing in Lake Irving, the gap near the Mauvee, Doc Hagens, the north end of Six Mile, Ft. Totten area, Casino, Mission Bay, East Bay near the camp entrance, and Black Tiger. Buckshots, raps, kastmasters, and nils tipped with minnow heads all work at times. Pike fishing’s been fairly good to the north at Sweetwater/Morrison as well as the north end of Six Mile and Jerusalem Bay. Perch fishing’s been slow with a few fish being caught in Black Tiger Bay and the Country Club area. We hope you all have a Great New Year!!!
