Catches consistently larger!

Another banner week of fishing!!! Once again the walleyes we have been catching this past week have been consistently larger and we have also caught some very nice sized northern pike. We have still having our best success working weed edges trolling bottom bouncers with spinners and night crawlers. We continue to find new spots that produce fish. Not all of them have the nice fish, some are full of small ones and an occasional larger one. Mornings have produced larger fish and the afternoons they become more scattered but at the end of the day it all adds up to beautiful limits of fish and a ton of smaller fish that were released. We have also caught some trophy fish that our clients have been very good about taking a photo and releasing. So hats off to you folks!

September begins tomorrow and before we say good bye to August we should let everyone know that it was a great month and nearly all of our August clients left with their limits and with a smile on their face! See you folks next year! We do have a very busy September. Now that school has started just about every where, we want to encourage you that the summer is not over. We will catch just as many fish and as September progresses it has been known to be a trophy time of the year. We have already noticed the last couple of weeks the consistency of our walleyes are in that 17 yo 21 inch range and we have yet to begin trolling crank baits or jigging. So there is a ton of prime fishing left and we would love it if you planned a trip to Devils Lake to fish with Mitchell’s Guide Service.

Hope to see you on the water!
