Back to School Programs at Sullys Hill

Join us for two free, special programs for school-aged visitors and their families that are designed to celebrate summer at Sullys Hill.

Preschool Play Day: Tuesday, August 7, 10:00- 11:30 AM

Children aged 3 to 6 will explore the outdoors by completing an outdoor scavenger hunt, making a bird feeder, and enjoying a dirt cup snack. Preschool Play Day is a free program designed to enhance childrens’ awareness and knowledge while they investigate nature and the world through their senses. Registration is not required.

Exploring Wetlands: Wednesday, August 8, 10:00 AM- Noon

This new program offers an opportunity to get dirty and muddy while exploring the wetlands at Sullys Hill. Participants will catch frogs and invertebrates with dip nets and learn why wetlands are so important to both wildlife and humans.

‘Exploring Wetlands’ is designed for children ages 6 to 12 but parents are also strongly encouraged to participate! A free lunch of hotdog, chips and a drink and a hay ride will be provided to each participant following the program. Pre-registration is required.
