Walleye anglers continue to do well on sunken roads and rocky points.
Fishing this past week has been somewhat spotty. Walleye anglers continue to do well on sunken roads and rocky points but the bite is largely in the early morning and evening hours. Some of the better spots for walleyes have been the Flats, the Doc Hagens area, Ft. Totten/Cactus Point, Knudson’s Bay, the Casino and Concrete Bay area, Mission Bay, the Stromme/Storm Sewer area, the sunken road in Black Tiger Bay, and East Devils Lake. In these areas anglers are fishing from 6-25 feet of water using buckshots, jigging raps, kastmasters, and nils tipped with minnow heads.
Perch fishing continues to really be hit and miss with some fish being caught at the mouth of Creel Bay, the north end of Creel Bay, the Casino area, Black Tiger, and Jerusalem Bay. Hali’s, genz worms, kastmasters, and hanger rigs tipped with wax worms or minnow heads have been working the best. Pike fishing remains good in the north end of Six Mile, Sweetwater/Morrison area, and Pelican Lake. Smelt or herring with tip-ups works well. Good Luck & Good Fishing!!!
