No lack of action on Devils Lake!!!
Another great week of Fishing! Not a whole lot new to report as far as methods go. We are still catching most of our fish bottom bouncing with spinners and crawlers along wind swept weed lines. We are catching all kinds of fish and it can be frustrating at times because we are catching so many smaller walleyes in the 10 to 13 inch range. It is great to see the number of walleyes in the system. Our reproducing the past few years must be absolutely incredible! We are still catching our limits of larger walleyes from 14 to 22 inchers but we have to work for them and some times sort through a lot of fish. No lack of action on Devils Lake!!!
I peaked at the upcoming schedule this morning and August is looking very busy! We do have quite a few opening between August 11 to August 16th. If you have those dates open and are looking for a world class adventure give us a call we would love to have you. The month of August is one of the prime months to fish on Devils Lake. Usually the water temperatures are at there highest and it forces the fish to go a little deeper. This makes it a great month for trolling crank baits and bottom bouncing as well. It is not too late to get that last fishing trip in before the new school year starts and the nice thing about coming to fish Devils Lake is the fishing is still spectacular.
