The Devils Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau wants to make your convention, conference, meeting or sporting event a success, and we are able to honor these services:
Prepare and present formal bid proposals for conventions/meetings and events. The staff will arrange site visits to motels and meeting/convention facilities, along with familiarization tours.
Assist with entertainment by arranging for groups to tour various attractions and provide contact information for speakers and entertainment.
Provide a hospitality packet for each attendee to your convention/meeting. The packets will include a Devils Lake Activities Guide (which includes a restaurant guide, lake map, city map and attraction information), a coupon book for the area, and any other information your organization would like to include. (Information to be included in the packets must be in our office two weeks prior to your convention/meeting date.)
We will provide name badges for your delegates, spouses and guests. We pre-type advance registration name badges with your event or company logo. (A registration list must be submitted to the CVB two weeks prior to your convention/meeting date.)
We can assist with Pre-event promotion and develop and distribute attractive e-mail promotion pieces for updating potential attendees. We will also provide you with materials and presentations to take to other events for attendance promotion.
Our qualified staff can assist in public relations/publicity and supply a contact list of our local and regional media and prepare and distribute news releases, along with pre-event promotional e-mail blasts. Our staff members are available to give a welcome, during conventions, upon request. Letters of welcome from the mayor of Devils Lake are also available. (Download the Press Release form)
Provide a professional staff member to help with your registration table for multi-day events hosting more than 50 people.
We will assist in coordinating room blocks for motels in the area.
We can provide shuttle bus contact information to help get your group where they need to go.
Multi-day events hosting more than 50 people will receive a welcome banner and signs which may be displayed at the host facility. (Requests for banners must be received two weeks prior to your convention/meeting date.)
