Fishing on Devils Lake continues to be excellent for most anglers.

Fishing on Devils Lake continues to be excellent for most anglers. Those doing well are reporting good bites working the edges of weedbeds, old sunken points, the trees, and the bridge areas. Some of the better spots have been the sunken roads in Pelican and the Flats, Haley’s Hump, Patience Point, Doc Hagens & Scooters Point area, the Ft. Totten/Cactus Point area, Five Crows, Stromme Addition, Foughty’s Point, Haybale Bay, Black Tiger Bay, and the bridges of Mauvee, Six Mile, 57, & 20. In these areas anglers are mostly jigging or trolling cranks or bottom bouncers with spinners. Both leeches and crawlers work at times. Most anglers are reporting a lot of smaller fish with some nice eating sized ones mixed in. Larger fish have been more difficult to find. A few pike are being caught along with walleyes, but pike fishing overall has been rather slow. White bass continue to be caught in most all areas of the lake with the windy shorelines and bridge areas producing better than others. Good Luck & Good Fishing!!!
