Fishing is fantastic! It seems like weeds are the key. Work the edges of them with whatever presentation you are the most comfortable with. Best depths seem to be that 9-15 ft. of water. We have used jigs, bobbers, and lindy-rigs and had great luck. It is very common to catch 40-70 walleyes a day. The fish will vary from 10-18 inches with the occasional bigger one showing up from time to time. Flooded rocks have also been producing. Bass fishing has been good. The key is to locate them. They are usually in the shallow water, so cover water and you will eventually run into them. We have seen a few more northerns showing up, mainly when we are walleye fishing, but they have been a bit trickier to pattern. This is a great time of year to get out and enjoy some great fishing on Devils Lake! Good luck and keep your lines tight!!
