Anglers are reporting fairly good fishing

Anglers are reporting fairly good fishing but it can also be hit and miss. The best walleye fishing is in the early morning and evening hours. Rocky points and other structure seem to be the key. Some of the better areas include the sunken roads and points in the Flats, the Doc Hagens area, Ft. Totten/Cactus Points and Knudson’s Bay, the Casino area, Stromme Addition and the storm sewer area, the sunken road in Black Tiger Bay, East Devils Lake, and Lake Irvin. Sonars, chubby darters, or buckshots, kastmasters, raps, and nils tipped with minnow heads have all been working well.

Perch fishing remains quite spotty with a few people getting some fish each day, but not much for numbers or consistency. Some of the areas producing perch have been the Towers area, Creel Bay, Military Point, Casino area, and Black Tiger.

Pike fishing’s been decent as well with fish being found along with walleyes in most parts of the lake. Those targeting pike have been doing best in Walfords Bay, Jerusalem Bay, Lake Irvin, and Sweetwater/Morrison. Good Luck & Good Fishing!!!
