Anglers continue to report good walleye fishing on Devils Lake. Most anglers are now jigging the bridges of Hwy 57, 20, Six Mile & the Mauvee with minnows or jigging or trolling cranks along sunken points and roads. Some of the better areas include the Golden Highway, sunken road in Pelican, and sunken points such as Haley’s Hump, Patience Point, and the Ft. Totten/Cactus Point area.

BIG BUCK & DOE CONTEST: Once again Eds will be having its big buck and doe contest. The heaviest buck will win a CVA Blackpowder rifle kit and the heaviest doe a $50 gift certificate. Good Luck and have a save and enjoyable deer season!!!

Welcome hunters and fisherman to the Lake Region. With waterfowl hunting in full swing very few anglers have been hitting the lake. Those going are reporting some excellent success on walleyes and pike. The most productive areas have been the bridges of Six Mile, Hwy 20, Hwy 57, and the Mauvee; the sunken road in Pelican and the Golden Highway; and sunken points such as Haleys Hump, Patience Point, Doc Hagens, Ft. Totten/Cactus Point, and Five Crows. At the bridges and on sunken rock piles anglers are vertical jigging or slip bobbering with minnows. On the sunken roads, anglers are trolling cranks such as shad raps, walleye divers, salmos, and reef runners. Good Luck & Good Fishing!!!
